What to include:

If shipping a laptop PC, please include the AC charging adapter and the battery.

If shipping a gaming console please include all parts “preferably all together” and power cable with a controller “if possible”.

If shipping a desktop PC all we need is the tower “With all parts included”.

How to ship it:

To properly package your computer for shipping, use a sturdy cardboard box that is slightly larger than your computer, ensuring enough space to add ample padding like bubble wrap or packing peanuts on all sides; if you don’t have the original box, a plain cardboard box from a UPS Store or similar retailer will work just fine, and they can also assist with packing if needed, though doing it yourself will be more cost-effective. 

Key points to remember:

Box size:

Choose a box that comfortably fits your computer with at least a few inches of padding space around it. 

Padding material:

Utilize bubble wrap or packing peanuts to cushion the computer thoroughly. 

No original box? No problem:

If you don’t have the original computer box, find a suitable cardboard box at a shipping supply store. 

Consider professional packing:

While packing yourself is generally cheaper, a UPS Store or similar service can pack your computer for you if needed. 

Packing steps:

Disconnect peripherals: Remove all cables and peripherals from your computer. 

Wrap the computer: Generously wrap your computer with bubble wrap, covering all sides and corners. 

Fill empty spaces: Place the wrapped computer in the box and fill any remaining space with additional bubble wrap or packing peanuts to prevent movement during transit. 

Secure the box: Seal the box with packing tape, ensuring a tight fit. 

Label clearly: Write “Fragile” and “This Side Up” on the box with a permanent marker. 

Shipping insurance:

Please note that Comptech repair llc is not responsible for lost or damaged items during shipping. So always remember to ask your preferred shipper about shipping insurance for an extra piece of mind.

Once you fill out the “Request a Comptech Mail In Service” mailing instructions will be emailed to you.

Step 3: Diagnostics

Upon receipt of your device Comptech Repair llc will contact you with a conformation of receipt.

In most cases we will have a invoice emailed to you within 24 hours of receipt with a invoice number, price quote and estimated time for repair.

Comptech Repair llc, has a minimum non refundable diagnostics fee of 120.00$. If you choose to have us repair your device the diagnostics fee will cover the first hour of labor. If you decide to have no repairs done then the diagnostics fee will cover labor and return shipping.

Step 4: Repairs Performed

Once the repair is approved and the invoice has been signed the repair on your device will begin. 

Typical repairs take on average 3 to 7 business days to complete. If your in a hurry no worry. Comptech repair can accommodate you with a rush order.
